Announced close to a departure throughout the summer, Kylian Mbappé will be Parisian this season. And according to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the discussions between the tricolor world champion and the Parisian leaders are “very good”

Now a few hours before the end of the summer transfer window, it’s a certainty: Kylian Mbappé will be Parisian this season. Since his arrival at PSG in the summer of 2017, his departure had never seemed so close. Consequence of his refusal to exercise the option on the third additional year provided for in his contract at the time of its extension in the spring of 2022. The tension between the clan of the tricolor world champion and the Parisian leaders was at its height at the start of the summer. So much so that the Bondynois had been removed from the Parisian group at the end of July.

But relations between the former Monegasque and the champions of France suddenly warmed up in mid-August and the Parisian striker was able to rejoin the Parisian group. “Kylian Mbappé will stay at PSG”, then informed the Parisian president. And if some then mentioned an extension, it was more the promise of the top scorer in Ligue 1 to abandon the (huge) bonuses provided for in his contract which made it possible to break the impasse. However, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has not given up on convincing his star player to extend with the Rouge et Bleu.

“Kylian is a PSG player. We have very good discussions with him, he is a magnificent player, as a person and as a professional. We talked to the rest of his family.he commented at the microphone of RMC Sport, Thursday, on the sidelines of the Champions League draw, adding about a possible extension: “We are going to work, try to do something. If we can, why not. Otherwise, we are ready, we are fine. A prolongation ? I don’t want to talk about that.”

At the end of the contract next June, Kylian Mbappé is still the priority target of Real Madrid, who hope to attract him for free in a year.
