Currently sixteenth in the Premier League with only 7 points in 8 matches, Manchester United are in crisis at the start of the season. The Red Devils are also considering dismissing their coach Michael Carrick following the poor results recorded so far. However, the former midfielder is not going to be fired yet.

According to The Guardianthe Mancunian club does not plan to dismiss him before having found a replacement. He will therefore lead training this Tuesday. Director of football Jason Wilcox is pushing for former Newcastle boss Eddie Howe to take over. The latter who left the Toons in July has a clause. The club that comes to poach him will have to pay Newcastle £3 million, the amount remaining in his contract. Note that Christopher Vivell, the recruitment director, is pushing for Julian Nagelsmann.
