PSG is getting closer to a decisive choice regarding its future stadium. According to The Teamthe latest meetings organized with Paris, Poissy and Massy allowed the club to refine its analysis of the three projects. The Parisian management wishes to designate, in the fall of 2026, a preferred site for the continuation of the work, without definitively abandoning the two other options. At this stage, Paris and Poissy seem to stand out, with a potential advantage for the Parc des Princes, to which the club logically remains very attached.
However, all three applications present difficulties. In Poissy, the application is faced with political uncertainties and reservations concerning the rehabilitation of the Talbot quay, which would not be possible before 2040. In Paris, major improvements to public transport would be necessary, particularly on metro lines 9 and 10, at a cost estimated at several hundred million euros. Massy appears more behind, especially due to the desire of its mayor to submit the project to a local referendum. Thus, financing will be decisive: PSG must still clarify the distribution of expenses before deciding on its preference in the coming weeks.
