According to theCIES Football ObservatoryEintracht Frankfurt is the club that has carried out the best overall transaction on the transfer market over the last five years. With a net valuation of 527 million euros on its recruits from outside the training center, the German team is narrowly ahead of Real Madrid and its 526 million euros. The calculation takes into account the capital gains made on players already resold, but also the difference between the purchase price and the estimated current value of the players still present in the squad.

Real Madrid owes a large part of its result to Kylian Mbappé, who arrived free and whose current value exceeds 150 million euros, as well as to Arda Güler, estimated today at 120 million after a recruitment worth 30 million. Paris Saint-Germain completes the podium ahead of Benfica and Manchester City. Conversely, Manchester United shows the highest depreciation among European clubs with a negative balance sheet of 405 million euros, while Al-Hilal holds the sad world record with -502 million euros.
