Big scare in Spain. Levante was the victim of a computer security incident that may have exposed the personal data of several categories of people linked to the Spanish club. In a press release published this Saturday, the Valencian team revealed that it had detected the incident on September 30, during an operation to update its surveillance systems. The information concerned could in particular be that of its members, its subscribers, its players and the customers of its online store. A worrying situation for the club, which confirmed that an external agent had illegally entered its systems, potentially compromising the confidentiality of certain private data.

Faced with this intrusion, Levante immediately blocked the services concerned, closed remote access from the Internet and changed the passwords on its various systems. The club has also strengthened two-factor authentication systems and encrypted its backups in order to limit risks. The incident has been reported to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, in accordance with current regulations. While waiting to learn more about the extent of this cyberattack and any information compromised, the club has called on those affected to be extremely vigilant, recommending them not to respond to suspicious messages, not to open links from unknown sources and not to download any questionable files. Enough to cause serious concern on the part of La Liga, while this intrusion poses a serious risk to the confidentiality of the personal data of many actors linked to the Valencian club.
