Stade Brestois scored a big victory against Angers (5-1) on Saturday evening, notably driven by Ludovic Ajorque. At 32, the center forward opened the scoring and weighed on the Angevin defense thanks to his size, while participating in Brest’s offensive play. A performance which convinced his coach, Julien Lachuer, to highlight the qualities of his attacker and to mention a possible call-up to the French team by ZinĂ©dine Zidane. “I heard that the coach wanted to have a boy who has presence in the box. If he was in front of his TV… I will campaign to have Ludo Ajorque in the French team. In any case, he deserves it”he said at the microphone of League 1+.

For Julien Lachuer, the Breton striker must be able to aim higher, like Esteban Lepaul, recently called up to the Blues. The technician believes that performances in Ligue 1 can open the doors to the selection and encourages his players to nourish this ambition, without putting pressure on the coach. “We must have ambition. We must not be content with playing matches for Brest, in Ligue 1. We must have the ambition to play at the top”he explained, while emphasizing Ajorque’s daily investment. The center forward already has 69 goals in 204 appearances in the French elite, a record which supports his coach’s arguments.
