Absent for Zinédine Zidane’s first list, will Aurélien Tchouaméni return to the French team in November? The answer becomes clearer.

He was one of the big absences from Zinédine Zidane’s first list at the head of the France team. Executive of the Blues under the Didier Deschamps era, Aurélien Tchouaméni was not summoned by the new coach for the start of the League of Nations.

The French coach immediately explained it, it was not a sporting sanction. Long injured, Tchouaméni had barely returned to competition when the list was announced. After discussion with his player, Zidane decided to let him work physically with his club during this international window.

However, Zinédine Zidane’s first matches marked a major change in the Blues’ style of play, particularly in midfield. And the choice of Lucas Da Cunha, a player with a very different profile from Tchouaméni, may sow some doubts about the Madrilenian’s future with the Blues.

Tchouaméni with the Blues in November?

According to Maxime Chanot, the former Bordeaux player does not have to worry about his place. “Tchouaméni, he will be there at the next gathering. I put both hands to the fact that he will be there”assures the RMC consultant.

For the former defender, there are no questions to ask regarding the Madrid midfielder. “You have to be lucid, I’m not pro Tchouaméni, but he has his place in the French team every day. »

Maxime Chanot thus recalls that it was for physical reasons that Tchouaméni was left out of this first gathering. “He is a player who has been injured for a while, and as a general rule you take advantage of the international breaks to add sessions, without being impacted by the weekend’s match, to get back into shape. This is exactly what is happening with Tchouaméni. I am convinced that Real Madrid reached an agreement with Zidane and Tchouaméni, to leave the latter at Real so that he could work. And at the next gathering, Tchouaméni will be there. »
