Particularly unusual scene at the Parc des Princes this Saturday evening. While Paris Saint-Germain hosts Le Mans for the 6th day of Ligue 1, the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) took advantage of the meeting to send a message. In a context marked by several days of student demonstrations across the country, Parisian ultras displayed a huge banner in Virage Auteuil in support of the demonstrators. “Your militias are repressing, our youth are resisting”we could notably read in the stands. A position in support of the student movement and against police violence in recent days.
But this initiative was quickly followed by a particularly surprising event. Just a few minutes after the display of this banner, Virage Auteuil was evacuated, leading to the departure of the members of the Collectif Ultras Paris. A decision which is visibly linked to the fact that stadium security quickly removed the banner. In protest, the CUP left the stadium. A situation which inevitably left its mark.
