After three weeks of international break, FC Barcelona hosts Getafe during this 8th day of La Liga. A meeting in which Hansi Flick chose to start Jules Koundé, starting out for only the third time this season at club level. This tenure allows the former Bordeaux player to enter the history of the Blaugrana club. Indeed, Koundé thus becomes the French player having played the most matches with FC Barcelona.

Arriving in the summer of 2022, the former Sevillian took part in 194 meetings with Barça. He is notably ahead of Éric Abidal (193 matches) and Ousmane Dembélé (185). Two other defenders complete the top 5 with Clément Lenglet (160) and Samuel Umtiti (134). This season, Koundé is experiencing a more delicate exercise, with competition with Eric García in the right lane and who is often favored by Hansi Flick.
