The international break is over and Paris Saint-Germain returns to Ligue 1 this Saturday evening with the reception of Le Mans at the Parc des Princes, as part of the 6th day of the championship. After several days dedicated to the national selections, Luis Enrique must get his team back into the rhythm of the competition, with the objective of getting off to a good start in front of his home crowd. This resumption constitutes a special moment for the young players of the training center, who can take advantage of the sessions with the professional group to get closer to the first team. In a schedule which leaves little respite for the Parisians, each training session represents an opportunity to show themselves in the eyes of the staff, particularly for those still in the learning phase. The Spanish technician, known for closely observing the club’s young talents, continues to keep an eye on the resources available at the PSG Campus.
For this meeting against Manceaux, a new face appeared in the Parisian group with Arthur Bar. The young goalkeeper, aged only 16, took part in first team training in recent days before being called up by Luis Enrique to compensate for Alessandro Longoni’s injury. Faithful to its philosophy, PSG continues to place confidence in young people from training with the desire of the staff to gradually integrate them into the professional environment. While the internationals have just returned and the management of the organizations remains an important element after the break, this call offers the goalkeeper the opportunity to discover more closely the requirements of the very high level. This is not yet his first appearance in a match, but this step already represents a strong signal for a player who usually plays with PSG’s youth teams. It now remains to be seen whether he will be able to taste the atmosphere of the Parc des Princes from the bench and continue his learning through contact with Parisian executives.
Happy Hour for Bar
The name Arthur Bar is still little known to the general public, but the young goalkeeper is starting to make a place for himself on Paris Saint-Germain’s radars. Born on January 25, 2010 in Paris, the French goalkeeper joined the capital club’s training center in the summer of 2024, after playing at CO Vincennes for two seasons. Previously, Bar had taken his first steps in football at MMFC Paris, a small club in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, where he played from 2017 to 2022. A very Parisian journey which gradually led him to the PSG youth teams, with which he continued his progress. Arthur Bar is part of the generation born in 2010 integrated into the Parisian training center in the summer of 2025, a promotion in which several players come from the club’s pre-training. At only 16 years old, he is now taking a new step by discovering the environment of the professional group under the orders of Luis Enrique.
The young 16-year-old goalkeeper already has some references to show off in the youth categories. In June 2026, Arthur Bar was crowned French U17 champion with PSG, who won the final against Angers (2-0). Arthur Bar is playing this season with the Parisian U17s and U19s, which allows him to face opponents who are sometimes older than him. He notably started with the U19s during the draw against Le Havre (3-3) on September 13. A meeting during which he distinguished himself with several important interventions, including a save in the 35th minute, before another stoppage after returning from the locker room. A French youth international, the Parisian by birth was also called up with the U16s for an internship at Clairefontaine in August 2025. A very nice itinerary which will experience a new turn this Saturday evening in the shadow of the competition between Matvey Safonov, Lucas Chevalier and Alessandro Longoni, or even his young sidekick Arthur Vignaud…
