While Nick Woltemade is having a complicated start at Juventus, the Italian club will not be able to get rid of the German striker during the next winter transfer window. Arriving on loan from Newcastle in the final hours of the summer market, the 24-year-old is struggling to convince Luciano Spalletti, with only one goal scored from the penalty spot in four appearances. His disappointing performances have already pushed the Turin leaders to consider other offensive solutions for January, raising the possibility of an early return to England. But according to information from Chronicle Livethis hypothesis should be ruled out. Indeed, no clause allows the Old Lady to prematurely end the loan of the former Stuttgart player. Juventus is therefore contractually committed to keeping Woltemade until June 2027 and will have to continue to cover his entire salary, estimated at more than 150,000 euros per week.

If the Italian club has no purchase obligation, Newcastle nevertheless remains open to a permanent transfer of its striker at the end of the season. Woltemade’s future with the Magpies also seems particularly uncertain, since coach Matthias Jaissle and his recruitment unit are already studying several offensive profiles for the next transfer windows. The German international, recruited for around 80 million euros, did not want to leave Newcastle this summer, but his coach encouraged him to join Turin in order to get more playing time. Despite the criticism, the main interested party tries to put his difficulties into perspective: “ I am in a new country, with a new language. I still have to find an apartment, for now I’m living in a hotel. I’m not satisfied with my performance yet, but I want to continue to improve and help the team. » Courted in particular by Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund during the summer, Woltemade now has several months to convince Juventus, which is already exploring Mateo Retegui, Folarin Balogun and Antonio Raimondo to strengthen its attack.
