Gerry Cardinale intends to take AC Milan to a new level. Indeed, according to information published, this Saturday morning, by La Gazzetta dello Sportthe owner of the Lombard club has injected 50 million euros into the Milanese coffers and could make a new contribution of capital in the coming months. A strategic decision intended to strengthen the club’s financial resources and accelerate its return to the forefront.

This initiative comes in a delicate context for the Rossoneri, who remain in two consecutive seasons without qualifying for the Champions League. As a reminder, the last financial year ended with a loss of 24 million euros, while a new deficit is expected for the 2026-2027 season. Therefore, this contribution must above all allow Italian training to finance its investments without excessive recourse to debt.

Endrick and Gonçalo Inácio among the priorities!

On the transfer market, the Milanese management also intends to continue its efforts from January. Two profiles appear in particular on its shelves: Gonçalo Inácio, the defender of Sporting Portugal, already targeted during the summer, and Endrick, the Brazilian striker of Real Madrid, who has already said yes to the Milan project. For the latter, a loan appears to be the preferred option, while the defender’s file could require a significant investment.

Beyond these avenues, this injection of capital marks a turning point in Cardinale’s strategy, which wishes to make sporting competitiveness an engine of growth for the club. After investing around 160 million euros in the summer market, AC Milan, which is currently in 5th place in Serie A, is therefore displaying new ambitions. The objective is clear: to sustainably return to the Champions League and strengthen its international influence, in parallel with the new San Siro stadium project.
