Ten years ago, Paris Saint-Germain supporters woke up in disbelief. During the night, the club’s full-back, Serge Aurier, was filmed during a live broadcast on Periscope. A sequence during which he insulted several of his teammates as well as his coach at the time, Laurent Blanc. The affair earned the Ivorian international an immediate suspension by the capital club.
Today the show Detective Mathoux (broadcast on Canal+) allowed the player to present a “scripted” apology to the former Parisian technician. “Dear coach, if you only knew how sorry I am. Ten years have passed, and I can’t stop thinking about you. I didn’t think a word of it. (…) Let’s talk about it over coffee. I invite you, I insist. Please coach, forgive me”he said, reading a text prepared by the encrypted channel. Not sure, however, that this parodic sequence is enough to convince “The President” to give up.
