Ewen Jaouen (20 years old) will have to be patient before returning to the field. The goalkeeper recruited this summer by Newcastle from Reims for €28.5 million injured his hamstring during the meeting with the France Espoirs team and must undergo surgery. He will miss around two months of competition, estimates Matthias Jaissle, his coach.

“Ewen’s case is complicated. He could be out for two months. The rest of the team should be fine.» This is another hard blow for the young goalkeeper, number 2 in the hierarchy behind the Czech Lukas Hornicek (24 years old). The Frenchman had already had to miss three weeks in September due to an ankle problem.
