For several weeks, Michael Olise has confirmed that he is no longer simply a promising recruit from Bayern Munich, but one of the major players in the Bavarian project. The French international once again made an impression during this break with the Blues, continuing the momentum of a particularly convincing start to the season in Germany. His performances allowed him to take a new step in the European hierarchy and his growing influence obviously did not go unnoticed in Munich. So much so that the question of its future is already starting to take an important place in discussions around the club.

Because if Bayern obviously wants to keep their winger over the long term, the file promises to be more delicate than a simple contract extension. According to the latest information from Sports Bildno real exchange would have yet started and Olise would not yet have clearly displayed his intentions for the continuation of his Bavarian adventure. Bayern, however, intends to quickly secure his presence, with the desire to offer him a particularly lucrative contract that could commit him until 2032. But a request made by the player’s clan could considerably complicate the negotiations, since he would like to have a release clause in his future lease.

Bayern ready to break a habit?

And indeed, new revelations give another dimension to this file. According to information from journalist Christian Falk of BildBayern would now be ready to make a particularly rare concession to keep Michael Olise. While the Bavarian club is generally very reluctant when it comes to release clauses, the managers could ultimately accept the request made by the player’s entourage. The principle would be to allow Olise to have an exit door in his future contract, but on extremely protective conditions for Bayern. The sum mentioned would thus reach 200 million euros, an amount which would allow the Bavarians to maintain considerable room for maneuver while responding to the Frenchman’s desire not to be completely locked in in the long term. A real favor from Bayern, which also testifies to the value placed today on its number 14.

The context makes this concession even more significant. The former Crystal Palace player is currently paid around 14 million euros per year, very far from the 25 million received by Harry Kane, while his excellent period with the France team only increases his weight in the negotiations. Bayern also knows that several major European clubs are closely monitoring its situation in view of next summer, with Real Madrid and Liverpool notably announced among the interested teams. In these conditions, the Munich leaders want to avoid the matter getting bogged down and want to quickly secure the future of their winger. Agreeing a release clause would be an unusual move, but Bayern could consider a fee set at €200 million an acceptable compromise to keep Olise long-term. After having invested massively to attract him to Bavaria, the German club now seems ready to go even further to avoid seeing him slip away.
