Arsenal coach since December 2019, Mikel Arteta (44) has nicely returned the favor to his leaders. After many years without major titles, the Spaniard was given the time necessary to build a team that was crowned champion of England last season and finalist in the last edition of the Champions League. So many achievements which logically led to the announcement of the extension until 2030 for Arteta, whose lease ended at the end of this 2026/2027 season.
“We are delighted to announce that Mikel Arteta has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal. This new agreement reflects our shared belief that the progress we have made and the success of last season mark the start of an exceptional period in our history. Mikel became our seventh coach to win a title last season. It was our fourteenth Premier League title and our first in 22 years. Together, we remain determined to build on this success, fight to win the biggest trophies in a sustainable way and continue to strengthen the deep bond between the club and its supporters.”we can read in the press release.
