Even if everything went well on the pitch for Zinédine Zidane’s debut at the head of the France team, major internal problems were noted. There should be change.

End clap for Zinédine Zidane’s first rally at the head of the France team. The former number 10 finally made his big debut at the head of the Blues, and everything went rather well on the pitch, with three victories and a draw, and the head of the group in the Nations League.

In the game, we saw great promises, things to correct or improve, but a fairly obvious guiding idea, which seems to resonate well with the players. In his review video, Romain Molina confirms that there is a good feeling between the Blues and Zidane and his staff. On the other hand, there have been significant concerns, which are not directly linked to the sports sector.

The independent journalist thus evokes hiccups with what he calls “the small staff”. These are issues of stewardship or logistics. Examples? Studs not screwed onto the players’ shoes, which would have angered some. Or even unwashed equipment between the trip to Türkiye and that to Belgium.

Any changes to be expected in the management of the Blues?

According to Romain Molina, there would have been errors in the constitution of the staff, at this level, with people who were necessarily competent, or placed in a position which would not be the right one. A meeting of the entire staff was to take place this Tuesday, to learn lessons from this first meeting. Important changes could be decided.

Overall, Romain Molina points above all
“amateurism and the lack of preparation of the French Football Federation”. They also denounce exorbitant costs for plane travel for the Blues as well as the Espoirs, while the FFF’s accounts are not encouraging. But everything would be done to ensure that the showcase, namely Zidane and his team, was as beautiful as possible.
