Poissy does not intend to miss his chance in the race for the future PSG stadium. After welcoming the PSG Campus, the commune of Yvelines is now seeking to convince the club to build its new enclosure on part of the Stellantis land. According to The Teamthe main local political leaders sent a letter to the general director of PSG, Victoriano Melero, in order to present a project supported by all the players in the territory. This includes an 80,000-seat stadium, a 20,000-seat arena and a vast complex intended to become a venue of international dimension.
Elected officials also highlight the proximity to the training center, located less than five kilometers away, as well as the transport infrastructure that could be developed around the site. The departmental council also assures that it wants to facilitate control of land, while local officials defend a project likely to preserve jobs currently linked to the Stellantis site. PSG must now continue studying the three options still in the running: Poissy, Massy and the Parc des Princes, before making its decision in December at the latest.
