After the France-Belgium match, Bixente Lizarazu slipped away from the TF1 set to chat privately with his great friend, Zinedine Zidane.

Friendship comes before the imperatives of television… This is the amused observation shared by TF1’s X account at the end of the Nations League match won by the French team against Belgium, Monday evening at the Stade de France.

While the post-match show was in full swing, Bixente Lizarazu momentarily forgot his obligations in front of the camera. Attracted by the presence of his friend Zinedine Zidane, the former left-back simply deserted the set to talk with the new coach of the Blues.

A sequence captured live and which was the subject of a humorous tweet from TF1. “Abandonment of post for Bixente Lizarazu?! Zinedine Zidane seems more interesting than the end of the show! »wrote the official account of the channel, accompanying these words with the video of the departure of “Liza”.

“He forgot that he had a job”

“We completely lost Bixente. He forgot that he had a job”said, amused, Thomas Mekhiche, in charge of this post-match. To which Bixente Lizarazu’s friend, Grégoire Margotton, responded with a laugh: “It’s over”.

After exchanging a few seconds with “Zizou”, Lizarazu returned to the set for the end of the show. This sequence illustrates the fraternity of the France 98 generation, which clearly remains stronger than any media protocol.
