The departure of Chema Andrés could leave Real Madrid with some regrets. Trained at La Fábrica, the Spanish midfielder joined Stuttgart before being transferred to Brighton this summer for 23 million euros. The Madrid club had recovered 14.5 million euros in total in the operation, but lost its ability to control the player after his move to the Seagulls. Since then, the 21-year-old has quickly established himself in the Premier League and is part of Brighton’s very good start to the season.
Asked about Real’s situation and a potential return to Madrid, Chema Andrés believes, however, that his former club already has enough resources in midfield. “Frankly, we talk a lot, but Real Madrid have incredibly talented players”he explained to El Chiringuitobefore citing in particular “Tchouaméni, Camavinga and Bernardo Silva”. A response which comes as the Merengue club has been looking for several seasons for a successor to Toni Kroos, while the Spaniard’s performances at Brighton could quickly fuel regrets around his departure.
