Before discovering the French team and finding himself coached by Zinédine Zidane, Lucas Da Cunha had to take several steps in his career. The industry recognizes in particular that it became aware, at its beginnings, of the road it still had to travel: “I realized that I wasn’t ready at all, that technically, yeah, I had the ball. I knew how to do things, but there were so many things to do on the field. I understood that and it helped me grow and develop my football as well. » An evolution in which Cesc Fàbregas played a major role at Como, first as a player then as a coach.

“For me, Cesc Fàbregas, he was enormously important. When I arrived, he was playful. Afterwards, he took me directly under his wing. Then he became a coach. At one point he needed a midfielder. He put me in that position because he felt it and from that moment on, he talked to me a lot, he gave me a lot of advice. Today, if I feel so comfortable on the pitch, it’s thanks to him”said Da Cunha. Now accompanied by two immense football references, the Frenchman inevitably appreciates his luck: “Being coached by Zinédine Zidane and Cesc Fàbregas, there’s really nothing better. It’s exceptional. Being able to take advice here and there from this kind of coach is super enriching. »
