Ten days ago, Valencia FC fired their coach Carlos Corberan. To achieve this, the Spanish team has decided to entrust the keys to the team to an experienced technician.
“Valencia CF has reached an agreement with Javier Aguirre for the position of new first team coach. The Mexican coach is committed until the end of the current season and the club will have the option to extend his contract for another year. Javier Aguirre (Mexico City, December 1, 1958) arrives at Valencia CF after leading his country’s national team at the 2016 FIFA World Cup, where Mexico reached the round of 16. This was his third appearance as Mexico coach at this tournament, following the 2002 Korea/Japan and 2010 South Africa editions. Throughout his long coaching career, the new Valencia CF coach has managed LALIGA clubs such as CA Osasuna, Atlético de Madrid, Real Zaragoza, RCD Espanyol, CD Leganés and RCD Mallorca, in addition to international experience with clubs and national teams in Japan, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Mexico.
