In the Portugal Football Summit Podcastpresented by Pedro Pinto, Luis Campos spoke at length about the progress of the Portuguese at Paris Saint-Germain, in particular that of Vitinha, who has become over the months one of the strong men of the Parisian project. The PSG sports advisor has known the midfielder since his young years and claims to have quickly detected his potential. “I have also known Vitinha for a very long time, since he was 16 or 15 years old. He always impressed me. Already last year he was among the three best players in the world and today he is considered one of the best. » For Campos, an important stage in the Portuguese’s career is linked to his time under the orders of Sérgio Conceição. “There is a Vitinha before and after Sérgio Conceição who, in my opinion, was fundamental at the time when he brought another intensity to the game, another physical dimension and perhaps a better understanding of the different phases of the game”he explained.

And if Vitinha has gradually established himself as one of PSG’s technical executives, João Neves has also followed a particularly notable trajectory since his arrival in the capital. The young Portuguese midfielder quickly managed to adapt to his new environment and establish himself in the Parisian midfield. A development that particularly impresses Luis Campos. “He is an exceptional boy, very intelligent, capable of making excellent decisions and, above all, a fighter”launched the Parisian leader. Before setting the bar very high for the rest of his career. “He is becoming a player capable, on his own, of being one of the two or three most important pieces of a team. I think João is going in this direction. » Campos also insisted on the Portuguese’s maturity, despite his young age, as well as his ability to adapt quickly to PSG. “João had an extraordinary speed of adaptation. Even though he is very young, he is already a mature person. And all this helped him win at PSG. »
