Alberto Gilardino named Parma coach

Fifteenth in the Serie A standings with only one victory in five matches, Parma decided two days ago to dismiss their coach Carlos Cuesta. To replace him, the club based in Emilia-Romagna decided to trust Alberto Gilardino. The 2006 world champion, who played for Siena and Genoa, has been free from any contract since his departure from Pisa last February.

“Alberto Gilardino is the new coach of Parma Calcio 1913. The new technical manager of the men’s first team has signed a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season, with an option in favor of the club for two more seasons”we can read in the press release published by the Italian team.
