Liverpool announces the departure of its sporting director coveted by Saudi Arabia

A comeback is brewing at Anfield! According to The AthleticJulian Ward is tipped to become Liverpool’s sporting director again, succeeding Richard Hughes who left to join the Saudi club Al-Hilal. Already in this position during the 2022-2023 season, the 45-year-old executive currently serves as technical director of Fenway Sports Group (FSG). A strong man in the recruitment of the Reds in the past, it was he who had completed the arrivals of Luis Díaz, Darwin Núñez, Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister.
