Former player of Tottenham and Newcastle in particular, Andros Townsend has just experienced an improbable misadventure in Thailand.

The scene is unbelievable. While warming up before a Thai league match between PT Prachuap FC – his current club – and Pattani FC, Andros Townsend was crushed to the pitch by a steamroller.

The driver of the machine responsible for leveling the playing field, clearly distracted, drove straight towards the former player of Tottenham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Everton, literally passing over his body.

The former England international, aged 35 today (13 caps, 3 goals) escaped miraculously unscathed. Except for a few bruises on one hip and one thigh. The person concerned, after the green light from the medical staff, was even able to come into play in added time of the game which followed.
