Chelsea: Xabi Alonso remains evasive on the strange João Pedro case

This is a package that risks raising eyebrows in Brazil in the coming hours. Last night, we learned that João Pedro, selected by Carlo Ancelotti for the September-October break, was leaving the list due to injury. An injury which had not yet been communicated by Chelsea, while the Brazilian striker played 90 minutes against Hull City last weekend.

At a press conference on the eve of a trip to Brentford, Xabi Alonso, the Blues coach, made surprising comments about his player. “No one is excluded. I remain cautious and we wait.
