New set, new programming, more parity, tightening of the number of columnists, cascade departures… L’Equipe du Soir has had a makeover for the 2026 school year. Yes, but there you have it, all these changes are causing a lot of criticism, as we can see on social networks, but not only that.
Guest of the La Baze podcast with former Canal+ star consultant Pierre Ménès, Gilles Favard spoke about the new EDS formula, of which he was a regular speaker in the past. And as usual, he was not blunt, even assuring that the show almost stopped and that this could finally happen given the plummeting audiences.

Two former internationals are involved in this new EDS formula. They are Vikash Dhorasoo and Ludovic Obraniak. And it is probably the latter who is targeted by Gilles Favard, who clashed with the ex-Polish international on X during the summer.
