In 2024, Brighton discovered a surprising resemblance between their own crest and that of NK Jadran Galeb, a small Croatian team. The English club then sent an official letter to Croatian leaders asking them to immediately modify their logo, considered almost identical to its own. An already unusual story, but the sequel is even more so.

Because it all started with a representative of the Croatian club who visited the Brighton premises. On site, he himself would have mentioned the disturbing resemblance between the two badges before asking the English leaders if they could donate some jerseys and equipment to him. Except that instead of leaving with free outfits, the Croatian finally returned home with a legal obligation: that of having the NK Jadran Galeb logo modified.
