Big names in French sport will meet on October 27 (7:30 p.m.), at the Jean-Dauger stadium in Bayonne, for a good cause. They will compete in a football match, the profits of which will be donated to the association “A smile, a hope for life”founded in 2006 by former goalkeeper Pascal Olmeta and which helps sick children and their families.
For the occasion, the new coach of the France team, Zinedine Zidane, will put on his crampons alongside his goalkeeping coach, Fabien Barthez, or his friend Bixente Lizarazu. Ballon d’Or 1991, Jean-Pierre Papin also answered the call, as did Laurent Blanc.
On the pitch where Aviron Bayonnais usually plays, there will also be former rugby players who played for the French XV. Sébastien Chabal, Imanol Harinordoquy, Dimitri Yachvili and Camille Lopez are notably announced. An XXL casting to celebrate the association’s 20th anniversary.

During previous editions, the event generated between 100,000 and 170,000 euros in profits. For this year, tickets are already on sale on the Aviron Bayonnais website. The price of tickets ranges from 12.50 euros to 42.50 euros.
