For this gesture, made towards the Alsatian public, Paris Brunner could receive a suspension. His case will be studied by the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League (LFP), which has been referred to the National Ethics Council (CNE), authorized to take up this type of situation.

After the meeting, the player provided some explanations for this questionable celebration. “They talked about my family, my mother, my father. I could see themhe confided about the supporters who insulted him. After the goal there were a lot of emotions, especially after a goal like that. I didn’t mean to be disrespectful. It was emotional. I wouldn’t say I regret it but that’s not the message I wanted to send. It was misunderstood. What I wanted to say was: ‘what a goal, it’s over’. »
