Assan Ouédraogo could miss Jürgen Klopp’s first meeting at the head of the German team. The 20-year-old midfielder injured his shoulder again during RB Leipzig’s big victory against Hamburg (5-0) this Sunday. Starting at kick-off, the young talent had to leave his partners in the 35th minute after a duel with Albert Grønbæk. A new blow as Klopp must unveil his first list with the Mannschaft this Thursday.
The injury is particularly worrying in Leipzig, since it could be linked to the one which had already kept Ouédraogo from the field throughout the month of August. “I think it’s the same injury. It’s not looking good. We need him. He’s an incredible talent, for Germany and for our club.”explained Martin Demichelis, coach of RB Leipzig. The midfielder, regularly hampered by injuries since his arrival at the club in 2024, has already accumulated more than 380 days of absence and could this time again be away from the field for several weeks.
