OM: Genesio publicly attacks McCourt, breakup is confirmed

Bruno Genesio’s comments on OM’s ambitions this season, coming out of his team’s new setback in Rennes, Friday in Ligue 1, were directly aimed at its owner, Frank McCourt.

After OM’s defeat at Rennes (1-0) – the third in a row – on Friday at the opening of the 4th day of Ligue 1, Bruno Genesio refused to carry the reduction in the Marseille club’s ambitions this season alone on his shoulders. “I have the objectives in mind, but it is not up to me to say them”said the Olympian coach at the Ligue 1+ microphone.

And while we thought that these statements were intended for sports director Grégory Lorenzi and president Stéphane Richard, Bruno Genesio was in reality targeting Frank McCourt, reports the daily L’Equipe.
