Ferran Torres was rewarded after his huge performance for PSG’s debut in the Champions League. Author of a hat-trick in just 26 minutes during Paris’ big victory against Slovan Bratislava (6-1) at the Parc des Princes, the Spanish striker was voted best player of the week in C1. Having just arrived and already scoring a double for his first appearance in Ligue 1, the 26-year-old struck three times (31st, 47th, 57th) to allow PSG to take the lead for good.

Ferran Torres beat three other players who were also very prominent during this first day: Ermedin Demirovic, author of a hat-trick with Stuttgart against Viking FK (3-1), Raphinha, double scorer with FC Barcelona against Feyenoord (5-1), and Marc Bartra, author of two headed goals with Betis against Lille (3-2). The four candidates had been selected by UEFA technical observers before Internet users chose the Parisian as the winner.
