This Wednesday, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, ensures that the question has indeed been resolved. “ The province of Benslimane will have the honor of hosting the 2030 World Cup final », affirmed the man who also occupies the function of Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget in Morocco during a political meeting organized in Bouznika.
A behemoth of 115,000 seats built for the event
Benslimane is a town located 60 kilometers east of Casablanca – the site chosen for the construction site of the monumental Hassan-II stadium and its 115,000 seats. A jewel ship costing half a billion euros dedicated to the global event and which for the kingdom constitutes a strong argument for hosting the 2030 World Cup final to the detriment of Spain.
A few days earlier, however, the boss of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Rafael Louzan, believed that the final match of the upcoming World Cup must necessarily be played in Spain. This was as part of an official visit to the enclave of Ceuta, on the borders of Morocco, in the midst of a migration and diplomatic crisis between the two countries concerned.
