Kylian Mbappé already has a very clear idea of what could push him to end his international career.

Almost ten years in the French team for Kylian Mbappé. On March 25, 2017, the striker played his first match with the Blues. Since then, the Bondynois has established himself as captain and already has 106 caps at just 27 years old. And his adventure with the French selection is still far from over, while Didier Deschamps has left his post and Zinédine Zidane is preparing to take charge.

The new coach will also unveil his very first list on September 17, during the Nations League. A list in which Kylian Mbappé should obviously appear. But the captain of the Blues already knows what could push him to put an end to his international adventure.

Monday, at a press conference before the first day of the league phase of the Champions League between Real Madrid and Inter Milan, the former Parisian was questioned about his career with the Blues. And his answer is particularly clear: Kylian Mbappé will stop the day he is no longer hungry.

Mbappé already knows the moment of his retirement

“Was the defeat against Spain (0-2) in the semi-finals of the World Cup the hardest to accept in your career? The selection and the club are two different things. Not winning the World Cup was difficult, that’s for sure.”first explained the French captain.

Before continuing: “The most difficult? I don’t know because I have already lost a Champions League final (in 2020, with PSG, against Bayern Munich). But it was a very positive tournament for us, to create a connection with the country, for the image of the team. We wanted to win, but it wasn’t possible. We are always hungry. The day you are no longer hungry, you have to stop. »

A clear message from Kylian Mbappé, who therefore does not seem to be considering an international retirement in the short term. With the arrival of Zinédine Zidane and the upcoming deadlines for the Blues, the French captain should still wear the tricolor jersey for several years.
