Paris Saint-Germain is obviously among the five nominated for the trophy for best men’s club of the season. A distinction which could allow the Parisian club to achieve a new historic double. Crowned for the second consecutive time in the Champions League, champion of France and winner of the Intercontinental Cup as well as the European Super Cup, PSG has a particularly impressive CV. However, he will face solid competition, including Bayern Munich, author of a national treble, Arsenal, English champion and C1 finalist, as well as Flamengo, winner of the Brazilian championship and the Copa Libertadores.

The most unexpected presence is that of Bodø/Glimt, a real sensation of the European season. The Norwegian club achieved several resounding exploits in the Champions League, including victories against Atlético Madrid, Manchester City and Inter Milan, to reach the round of 16 of the competition. The distinction will be awarded by an international jury of specialist journalists, who will have to select two clubs from the five nominated, with two points awarded to the first and one to the second. PSG will logically leave with a head start given its incredible harvest of titles, but the verdict will be rendered during the Ballon d’Or ceremony.
