FC Nantes won against Nancy (1-0) this Monday evening, during the fifth day of Ligue 1.
It was therefore necessary to wait until the fifth day of the championship for FC Nantes to achieve its first victory this season. The Canaries were greatly helped by the early expulsion of Elydjah Mendy, for a shirt pulling on Thomas Robinet shortly after the half-hour mark.
In the second half, it was in the action following the kick-off that Grégory Poirier’s men found the fault. Yannis Nahounou’s cross was deflected by Ryad Hachem into his own goal (1-0, 46th).
Thanks to this narrow victory, FC Nantes now has four points and moves up to fifteenth place in the standings. On Saturday, the Canaries will travel to Sochaux for the sixth day of Ligue 2. AS Nancy is in seventh place, two points off the podium.
