José Mourinho will have to cope without his French midfielder. As Real Madrid prepare to begin their Champions League campaign this Tuesday evening against Inter Milan, Eduardo Camavinga will watch the match from the stands of the Bernabéu.
The reason? The former Rennais will serve his match suspension after being sent off during the quarter-final second leg against Bayern Munich last season. Entering the game, Camavinga received two yellow cards in quick succession. An exclusion which had been decisive in the elimination of the White House.
Besides Eduardo Camavinga, the “Special one” will be deprived of Arda Güler, who also received two yellow cards during this quarter-final in Bavaria. The Turk received a second warning after the final whistle after his protests with the referee.
Real Madrid, 7 absent in total against Inter
Recruited this summer, Bernardo Silva will also be absent from the Madrid group. The Portuguese midfielder was sent off last season during the round of 16 second leg… against Real Madrid. He stopped the ball with his hand to prevent a Merengue goal.
In addition to these three suspended, four players will be missing due to injury. This is the case of Rodrigo, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Raul Asencio.
