Álvaro Arbeloa is going through a particularly complicated start to his reign at the head of Fulham. Beaten by Crystal Palace (2-3) at Craven Cottage, the Cottagers conceded a third defeat in as many Premier League days under the orders of the former Real Madrid defender, after setbacks against Chelsea (2-3) and Sunderland (1-0). A series which already places the Spanish technician under pressure, even if he refuses to deny his principles. “I believe in my ideas”he notably assured after this new disappointment.

Arbeloa also acknowledged the problems faced by his team, particularly on the defensive side. “Our defense is very open”admitted the Spaniard, while Fulham conceded three more goals against Palace. Despite this observation, he does not intend to abandon his philosophy: “I would have liked everything to go better for the club and the supporters. » The technician will now have to quickly find solutions to rebalance his team, which already shows great offensive promise, but remains too shaky behind after its first three days.
