David Beckham has proven he’s ready to play the game when it comes to signing for Inter Miami, and after being pictured with another Spanish soccer star it’s been suggested he could do it again.
After courting Lionel Messi for several years before the Argentine landed in Miami, David Beckham has been pictured hanging out with a current Real Madrid star. According to Caught Offside, Luka Modric was caught on camera with Beckham on the Croatian island of Sipan, where the two were spotted. Iberian media are now speculating that the Croatian could be the next player to swap Spain for South Beach.
Modric has returned to service with Real Madrid, but not as much as he had hoped. The Croatian has played second fiddle to Fede Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga this season so far, and Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly told him his role will be reduced this season.
The flip side is that Inter Miami will probably have to make several moves to bring in Modric, even if it’s next season. After the arrivals of Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Lionel Messi, Miami has exhausted its resources in terms of Designated Players. In all likelihood, one of them should leave to facilitate Modric’s arrival, although, as in the case of Messi, it is entirely possible to relax the rules.
