As Juventus continues to reshape its attacking sector, the departure of Jonathan David could provoke a new movement in Turin. The Canadian striker is currently being pushed out and, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Old Lady is negotiating with Atlético de Madrid for a transfer before the transfer window closes. Having already let Loïs Openda and Dusan Vlahović leave, while Randal Kolo Muani has joined the club, the Bianconeri are therefore anticipating a possible departure of David with the need to recruit a new number 9.
And the preferred track could lead to another attacker who was already highly coveted last summer. According to MarcaJuventus has activated the Nick Woltemade file, with contacts established in recent hours for the 24-year-old German striker. An operation which promises to be particularly costly since Newcastle had paid nearly 90 million euros to secure the services of the striker, still under contract with the Magpies. Juve is also working on the track leading to Joshua Zirkzee, but David’s departure could therefore concretely relaunch the Woltemade file in the very last hours of the transfer window.
