The summer has not been easy for Raul Asencio. Announced on the departure of Real Madrid where he ultimately remained, the central defender was also caught in the act of drunk driving during a routine check in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, in the Canary Islands. His blood alcohol level was 0.90 mg/l for a limit set at 0.25 mg/l, almost four times higher than the authorized level. The facts date back to August 16. As a result, the Madrilenian was found guilty at a summary hearing and received a heavy fine of 14,400 euros as well as an eight-month license suspension.

These are new legal setbacks for him. He must also appear this week in a child pornography case where he is accused with three of his former teammates from the Real Madrid training center of having recorded and distributed images of a sexual nature without the consent of two young women, including a minor, during events dating back to June 2023. The two victims finally withdrew their complaint after the start of the procedure. The prosecution was therefore only able to retain the charge of “disclosure of secrets” and requested two and a half years of imprisonment against Asensio.
