PSG chose to return to the Parc des Princes to formalize several extensions. Before kick-off against AS Monaco this Friday, the Parisian club notably announced the extension of Luis Enrique’s contract until 2030. News which confirms the desire of the leaders to continue with the Spanish coach, who arrived on the bench in 2023.
For his first match of the season at the Parc, Luis Enrique also received a nice tribute from Parisian supporters. Despite a less intense atmosphere than usual, part of the CUP being absent due to a partial closed session, several songs were sung in honor of the 56-year-old technician. Since his arrival, the Spaniard has notably led PSG to two European crowns in 2025 and 2026.
This extension had been in the works for several months. Discussions began at the start of the year and an agreement was even reached at the end of last season. But the new contract had never been signed yet. “We will let you know when everything is OK”still indicated the Parisian direction to The Team these last few days. It is now done, while Luis Enrique was initially linked to PSG until 2027.
Multiple extended frames
The capital club took advantage of this evening to formalize other extensions. After the presentation of its new recruits, PSG announced the new contracts of several of its executives. Fabian Ruiz is now linked to the club until 2028.
For their part, Willian Pacho, Joao Neves, Lucas Beraldo and Senny Mayulu have all extended until 2031. A series of announcements which illustrates PSG’s desire to focus on continuity after its two European crowns.
