Strasbourg has a new reinforcement for its defense according to Sky Germany. A final agreement has been reached with Werder Bremen for the transfer of Karim Coulibaly. Racing will pay 20 million fixed euros, to which can be added 5 million euros in bonuses. The German club also negotiated a clause allowing it to recover 10% on a future resale of the player. Negotiations continued until the last few hours before reaching a complete agreement and the 19-year-old defender’s medical examination is now imminent.

Strasbourg is betting a large sum on one of the young defenders who moved to the Bundesliga last season. Coulibaly played 27 league games for Werder Bremen, scoring one goal. The German club could above all carry out a very good financial transaction since it had recovered the player freely in the summer of 2024 from Hamburg. Just two seasons after his arrival in Bremen, Coulibaly is already preparing to discover Ligue 1 under the Strasbourg colors.
