Jamal Musiala decided to speak out after the two illnesses he suffered in the space of just three days. The German international, who once again collapsed on Tuesday during the friendly match against Heidenheim, wanted to quickly reassure those around him, the Bayern Munich supporters and more broadly all those who were worried about him. After a similar first episode against RB Leipzig on Saturday, the 23-year-old attacking midfielder was once again the victim of sudden weakness just a few minutes after coming into play. An inevitably worrying repetition a few days before the resumption of the Bundesliga, but Musiala assures today that his situation is taken care of and that he is in good medical condition.
The Bayern Munich player thus provided important details on the origin of these episodes. Musiala explains that he has identified temporary and very brief absences, which he describes as linked to neurological dysfunction and which he considers very treatable. It also ensures that there is currently no “no additional risk”a particularly reassuring element after the images of his two close falls. The young German also claims to be surrounded by the best medical care and is optimistic for the future. While there have been many questions since Saturday, this speech allows us to better understand what is happening to him and above all to reassure him about his current state.
Musiala reassures about his condition
“The most important thing first, I’m fine. I am especially grateful for your messages and support! I understand that many of you are worried. I would like to explain a little. I have temporarily and briefly identified the absences that have been occurring within me but are well treatable, which are attributed to neurological dysfunction. This can lead to the last moments that happened, like against Leipzig or even now at Heidenheim. I know it may seem scary at first glance, but for me, they are currently a part of my daily life. I am in the best medical care and very optimistic about it. FC Bayern and my private circle are always at my side and support me on this path. The important thing is that there is no additional risk. »
Musiala also wanted to look to the future and thank those who support him in this special period. Despite these two episodes which occurred in a few days, the German player does not want to give in to worry and intends to continue moving forward with the support of Bayern Munich, his entourage and the supporters. “What helps me the most in this adventure is, with my team and your great support, to continue chasing victories and titles”he concluded. A resolutely positive message from the Bavarian, who now wants to continue his preparation with the objective of returning to the pitch in the best possible conditions.
