The conflict between Viktor Tsygankov and Girona takes a new turn. While the Ukrainian winger wishes to leave the club and had refused to wear the jersey during the first day against Leganés, he has decided to make public internal conversations exchanged on WhatsApp. A move which comes after several weeks of tension around his future, while Girona is reportedly demanding around 10 million euros for his departure according to the Spanish press.
On InstagramTsygankov first published a cryptic message: “one day I will speak…”before revealing exchanges in which the club reminds him of his obligations regarding public speaking. Girona specifies that any interview or statement to the media must be authorized in advance and warns the player that non-compliance with these rules could be considered a violation of his contractual obligations and result in disciplinary sanctions. A new stage in a standoff now exposed in broad daylight.
