Zinédine Zidane’s first speech as the new coach of the France team was marked by a strong thought for the victims of the fires currently affecting Gironde. Officially presented this Tuesday at the headquarters of the French Football Federation, the 1998 world champion began his press conference with a message of support addressed to all those mobilized on the ground.
“I wanted to start with a message of support to all the people, the firefighters and the agricultural world who take care of them today. Big thought for them, it’s a complicated time for many families”declared the new coach of the Blues. As a reminder, the Bordeaux region is affected by major fires which have already ravaged several thousand hectares of vegetation, led to major evacuations and mobilized hundreds of firefighters to try to contain the flames.
