PSG accelerates for Zion Suzuki. Already convinced by the profile of the Japanese goalkeeper, the French and European champion has made him his priority to prepare for the future in this position, despite the presence of Matvey Safonov and Lucas Chevalier who is still at PSG for the moment. After a first proposal estimated at €28 million + €5 million bonus, refused by Parma, the Parisian leaders decided to revise their offer upwards.

According to Sky ItaliaPSG has now offered a package of €35 million including bonus to secure the services of the Japanese international. A new proposal which demonstrates the Parisian desire to quickly complete the file. Discussions between the two clubs are currently underway and an agreement is seriously approaching, as explained by the Italian press this Saturday.

PSG goes second in its transfer window

Paris, however, had to deal with competition from Juventus, who had long hoped to overtake the French club in this matter. But PSG was able to take the lead and is now in a favorable position to attract the 23-year-old goalkeeper, whose profile appeals to Luis Enrique and the staff, particularly with the quality of his kicking game. There remains an important question to resolve: its role in the capital.

Because if PSG wants Suzuki, they cannot guarantee him a starting place for the moment. Safonov is coming off a good season, while Lucas Chevalier is still present in the squad. Luis Enrique would also like to see the Japanese at work before deciding definitively on its use. For his part, Suzuki has a very clear position: after being one of the strong men of Parma last season, he absolutely wants to play and establish himself as a starter, and does not envisage a season in the shoes of a replacement. Paris will therefore have to find the right solution to definitively convince the goalkeeper, while the agreement with Parma is now very close.
