Bruno Genesio did not hide his satisfaction after the official appointment of Zinédine Zidane as coach of the France team. Present at a press conference in Marseille after an OM training session, the French coach welcomed the arrival of the former Real Madrid technician at the head of the Blues, believing that his career and his track record made him the natural successor to Didier Deschamps. Strong support which comes as Zidane has just been officially presented in Paris at the FFF headquarters.

“Obviously we are all delighted from the moment Didier decided to stop, to have Zizou succeeding him. He is the one who has the greatest legitimacy for this position, with what he has shown in his career as a player, but also as a coach. We must not forget his time at Real Madrid. Three Champions Leagues in a row. We don’t realize what work and achievement this represents. We are proud and happy that it is he who takes over from Didier Deschamps”. The new era finally begins for the French team after 14 great years under Didier Deschamps.
